Criminal Defense in Arkansas is Bowman Lewis Law's Top Goal

Arkansas White Collar Criminal Defense

For a general overview of how our firm approaches the criminal justice system, please visit the general criminal defense page.

White Collar Crimes are a different animal than common criminal charges.  While many of the courtroom procedures are similar or the same, cases are worked in a different manner.  If a White Collar Crime is charged by the State, there is a very realistic possibility that the case is transferred to the federal government.  Your attorney needs to understand and prepare for this risk from the beginning.  Federal Charges are more expensive to defend, because they require more work, tact, and skill.  Our network of experts - including forensic accountants and private investigators - is often needed to properly fight certain federal charges.  The stakes are also higher in federal court, because jail sentences are not decreased by "good time" like they are in the State penal system.  If you are a proprietor of a business who is targeted by ICE, the IRS, or another federal agency - you need competent counsel to instruct you immediately.  It is a common tactic to "roll up" employees with plea offers in exchange for testimony - which may or may not be fabricated.  Unfortunately, assets are often seized when someone is charged.  Part of our job is to recover whatever can be.

Due to the broad definition of White Collar Crime, anything from an alleged simple scam to a complex situation involving company books qualifies as a White Collar Crime.  We can discuss matters with you confidentially, please contact Bowman Lewis Law at (888) 674-5327.
